Germany's Amok Records is back. The label which gave us our first glimpse into bands like Warhead and HAMMERHEAD, had called it quits in the mid-90's. Last fall it was announced they would be reviving themselves and one of their first releases is coming from Peru's Tomar Control.
Tomar Control, the band made up of 4 women, have been gifting us with hardcore anthems since 2015. With old-school influences like Judge and Shelter, the band takes their experiences of women in the scene and scream out anthems about topics like misogamy, scene gate-creepers and animal exploitation. The songs are always classic style sing-alongs filled with anger, hardcore breakdowns and positive messages. The new album titled "Nunca Más Callar" (Never Shut Up) is out officially on August 1st. The LP will include an English translation sheet for lyrics and a sticker. It is limited to 250 copies.
You can order the album in all formats via the Amok Records bandcamp page. Listen below and support these women!
