DRACULINA - Debut Surf-Rock EP Featuring Members of Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, ect

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

Draculina may look like a top model when you first see her, but there is much more than just beauty to this Russian musician. The bass player has previously been a part of Black Lagoons, and has now moved onto her first debut album titled "Strip Trip to Miracle Cove." This is an instrumental surf-rock meets rockabilly album. Her lineup of talent is rounded out by guitarist Paul Mochalov (Coffin Wheels), drummer Andrew Egorov, and percussionist Larry Mullins (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Iggy Pop, The Stooges, The Swans.

With a lineup like that, you don't need to take my word for how good it is. It immediately reminded me of what you might hear in a Tarantino film from the 90's. Summer might be coming to an end here, but this album will take you back the second you put it on. Looking forward to hearing more from her.

Recorded at Partizan Records in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
